Since what’s finally got me started blogging is a summer program I’m taking in London, I thought I’d look back to the last time I was there in June 2004, when I had a very short stop there before the last time I studied abroad, in Dublin, Ireland.
Based on the photos I found, I did a surprising amount of running around for only being there 3 days. As you can see, I was lucky enough to have had gorgeous weather for the trip, which probably helped. And the energy of the city was so amazing I didn't want to miss a minute of my time there.
For a couple of hours away from the bustle, I took a trip out to the beautiful and peaceful Kew Gardens, which was especially gorgeous in the early summer. (I'll have to make a trip back this summer, since I can't resist butterflies or orchids.)
Of course, if you're in London, you have to see the iconic landmarks, like Big Ben here, which was more impressive in person than I thought it would be. I can barely wait to go back in just one short week!
I like your pictures! I swear, no matter how short your stay anywhere in Europe, you spend most of it on your feet! Hopefully this time it'll be bit more laid back; but its definitely going to be packed.
